Regarding personalised cakes orders
Deposits and payments
A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is required to be paid a minimum of 7 days prior to delivery or collection of your cake.
Cancellations
If you cancel your order >7 days before delivery/collection of your cake, any deposit paid will be transferred as a store credit which can be used for any future cake orders within 3 years.
If you cancel your order within the week of delivery/collection of your cake, no refund or store credit will be issued. Please understand, that we have purchase ingredients and hired staff to make your cake, and these are expenses to the business.
***COVID 19 Lockdown T & C***
The recent short notice COVID lockdowns have affected several functions that I have provided cakes for. I will always try to work with all clients to find a satisfactory solution however please be advised the following conditions will apply in these circumstances:
1. If work on your cake has not been commenced a full store credit will be offered, or your payment can be held with cake postponed and rescheduled to a new date. If specific items have been purchased for your order eg: custom toppers this will be deducted from refund and you are welcome to collect these items for your own use.
2. If your cake has been started or completed I will be unable to refund. Your cake will need to be collected or delivery arranged. Should you wish to freeze your cake I will provide correct and food safe instructions for you. If enough notice is given I may be able to adjust the final design to reduce the cost
3. If you request bringing your function forward to avoid impending restrictions I will do my best to accommodate you, however a shortened time frame may mean making adjustments to your final design. I will do my utmost to ensure I provide you with a centrepiece cake for your celebration.
Delivery & Transportation
At Ministry of Cakes, we offer delivery at an additional cost depending on the location of the venue. Please email or call us to discuss this option.
Pickup from our store is obviously free of charge. Please note our store hours (in particular, for cakes required on Sunday, we kindly request that you pick up your cake on Saturday as our store is closed). If delivery on Sunday is required, an additional surcharge will be charged on top of our standard delivery costs.
It is extremely important to keep the cake as flat as possible. We recommend putting the boxed cake on the floor or boot of the vehicle.
Regarding cakes ordered through online store
*Please note, we are closed on Sundays.
Pick-up in store is only available for online orders. For special delivery requests, please email or call us (note that delivery charges may apply).
We will do our best to accommodate any last minute orders, but its would be best to contact us via email, or to call us to see availability
